The CCAC Educational
Foundation is the fundraising and benefactor arm of the college. It seeks to
create vital connections between the college and the wider community
to ensure the ongoing viability of the college.
EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) Program
The CCAC Educational Foundation is an educational improvement organization under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
When the EITC program was enacted in May 2001, Pennsylvania became the first state in the nation to permit businesses to make charitable contributions based on the amount of state taxes they pay.Under EITC, businesses may receive a 75% tax credit for contributions to an educational improvement organization like CCAC, up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year. The tax credit increases to 90% for businesses that commit to making the same donation for two consecutive years.
Eligible businesses are those who are authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and are subject to at least one of the following taxes:

The CCAC Educational Foundation utilizes EITC funding to support our Dual Enrollment program. CCAC’s Dual Enrollment program helps juniors and seniors take college credit courses while in high school. Almost 30 school districts in Allegheny County collaborate with CCAC’s Dual Enrollment program.
