    • If you took the GED test in Pennsylvania prior to December 31, 2013 and did not pass, you may be allowed to combine partial scores from your test to qualify for the Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma.

    Four Week Program!

    The GED® Boot Camp is designed to help motivate and prepare you to pass one subject area or the entire GED® and earn "The diploma". It forces you to examine your goals and set up strategies to help overcome obstacles that may stand between you and your high school credential. This 4 week boot camp including an orientation, critical thinking workshop, and GED predictor tests in RLA, Social Studies, Science, and Math.

    GED® Preparation with Remediation
    Eight Week Program
    The 8-week GED® Preparation program with remediation will help you get ready for all subject areas of the GED® Test.  The classes will also help you brush up on those forgotten Math and English skills so that you can take the GED® Tests with confidence!

    Commonwealth Diploma Program / 30-College-Credit Option

    A Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma may be issued to any Pennsylvania resident who does not possess a secondary school diploma and who is at least 18 years of age upon presentation of evidence of full matriculation and the satisfactory completion of a minimum of one full year or 30 semester hours of study at an accredited institution of postsecondary education located in the United States. An official college transcript is acceptable evidence for award of this diploma.

    Applicants must complete and sign a request form certifying that they meet the criteria for award of a Commonwealth Diploma. For completed details, visit the PDE Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma webpage, and follow the directions under the heading "30 College Credit Option".

    GED Scholarship at CCAC

    Allegheny County Residents who obtain their GED Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma are eligible for one tuition-free 3-credit course at CCAC within six months of receiving the diploma. For further details and eligibility requirements, please visit Scholarships.

    If you have taken and passed the GED test in the past, and would like to request an official transcript of your results, go to PA DOE GED Transcript Request Form, and follow the instructions there.
