PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County North Campus will host a Fall Carnival on Friday, October 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Atrium. Organized by the World Cultures Club, the carnival is open to the public, and tickets are $5 per person at the door, with free admission for children under five.

Attendees will be offered a dinner that will include authentic Indian dishes, as well as spaghetti and other American fare. In addition, there will be Halloween-themed crafts for kids, carnival games for all ages, a bake sale and a silent auction of valuable baskets. All proceeds will go to fund a trip to India for Honor students who will participate in an international study tour in January 2016.

The students will have a table at the carnival where they will talk about their upcoming trip and research projects for their Honors course “Comparative Cultures & Politics of India and United States.” Each student is required to do a comparative analysis of India and the U.S. to showcase their research. During the tour, they will attend lectures at universities, visit NGO programs, meet with government officials and perform community service at two schools, as well as visit historic sites.

CCAC North Campus is located at 8701 Perry Highway in McCandless.
