PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County has been selected to receive the 2013 INSIGHT Into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award for its continued commitment to expand and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives at the college and in the community. The HEED Award is the only national recognition given to colleges, universities and school systems that exhibit outstanding efforts and success in the area of diversity and inclusion.

“It is an honor to be recognized on the national stage for our efforts to expand and enhance diversity and inclusion at the college and within the extended CCAC family and wider community,” says Special Assistant to the President for Diversity & Inclusion Clyde W. Pickett. “At CCAC, the value we place in diversity is at the core of what and who we are as an institution and as individuals who represent and work on behalf of all members of our community.”
