CCAC West Hills Center to host Skilled Trades and Services Fair on Tuesday, November 24

PITTSBURGH—Students and community members are invited to learn about how they can receive training in two years or less toward high-paying and highly rewarding careers at the Community College of Allegheny County. CCAC West Hills Center will host a Skilled Trades and Services Fair on Tuesday, November 24, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Individuals, student groups and organizations are invited to attend.

Participants can engage in hands-on contests and view live trade demonstrations. Featured trades include automotive, carpentry, heavy equipment operation, HVAC, iron working, plumbing, mechatronics, sheet metal working, electrical construction and welding. CCAC offers more than 25 degree and certificate programs in these and other trades, all of which can be completed in two years or less at CCAC’s state-of-the-art facilities.

These skilled trades programs and services offer students the opportunity to earn certificates in a short period of time so that they are able to begin working in the field while they continue at CCAC to fulfill the requirements for the degree programs.
