PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County has been selected to receive two 2014 Accolade Awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District II Accolades Committee. CCAC won silver in the Marketing Programs category for the college’s successful promotion of its Math Café programs and took bronze honors for Best Practices in Communications in the Community College category for The Big Read in Pittsburgh, part of a National Endowment for the Arts funded initiative designed to promote literacy, reading and community engagement.

“It is an honor to be recognized by CASE, an organization that represents the interests of educational institutions around the world,” says Nancilee Burzachechi, JD, CFRE, vice president of Institutional Advancement, External and Federal Government Relations for CCAC. “These awards underscore the valuable work and programming taking place at the nation’s community colleges—and at CCAC in particular.”

CCAC and other award recipients will be recognized at the CASE District II Annual Conference scheduled to take place February 9–11, 2014, in Baltimore, Maryland
