PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County West Hills Center, in celebration of the college’s 50th anniversary, will hold a car cruise on Saturday, April 30, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event is open to the general public. Individuals are welcome to show all types of vehicles, including antique, classic and vintage cars.

Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third places, and the first 50 people through the gate will receive a free 50th anniversary dash plaque and goody bag. Live music will be provided by the band Plan B, and food truck vendors will offer a variety of food and refreshments.

All proceeds collected from a suggested donation of $5 will support CCAC’s 50th Anniversary Scholarship Fund. Registration is suggested for individuals who plan to show a car; those who wish to register can do so by calling 412.482.3381.

This event is just one of many exciting activities CCAC is holding throughout the year to which the public is invited to celebrate the college’s 50th anniversary, each one of which showcases the uniqueness of CCAC and the vibrancy and diversity of CCAC’s student body. Upcoming events include a production of “Fences” at the South Campus Theatre in June. The celebration will culminate with a 50th Anniversary Gala in November where 50 distinguished alumni will be honored. The CCAC Educational Foundation is also seeking to endow 50 new scholarships in honor of the college’s golden anniversary.

CCAC West Hills Center is located at 1000 McKee Road, Oakdale PA 15071.
