PITTSBURGH-In recognition of Women's
History Month, a Women in Leadership panel discussion will be held
at CCAC Allegheny Campus on Tuesday, March 13, from 12:00 p.m. to
1:30 p.m. in the Foerster Student Services Center auditorium lobby.
The panelists, which include three CCAC faculty members and two
CCAC students from diverse backgrounds, will discuss their unique
experiences and share insights in the area of leadership.
Featured CCAC panelists include:
Bridgette Golman, dean of Student Development; Kathy Kane,
professor of Mathematics; Dr. Ebony English, professor of Social
Work; and students Shailja Patel and Kimberly Foote. Moderator of
the panel will be Darla Coleman, director, TRIO Student Support
Services, which is sponsoring the event in conjunction with
Allegheny Campus Student Life.
The panel discussion is presented by
the CCAC Women's Empowerment Summit, which is being underwritten by
the Eden Hall Foundation. Women's Empowerment Summit events are
being held at all CCAC campuses and will culminate in a free
conference designed to enhance the leadership and personal and
professional potential of women. "What Does it Mean to 'Lean In?'"
is the theme of this year's inaugural conference, which will be
held at the Foerster Student Services Center on Allegheny Campus on
Friday, April 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Women in Leadership panel
discussion is open to the public and the media, including
still/video cameras. A complimentary lunch will be provided at the
