PITTSBURGH—A hands-on workshop titled “It Can Wait! Don’t Text and Drive” will be presented at the Community College of Allegheny County’s North Campus on Wednesday, September 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Atrium Stage and Pit area of the campus. The workshop is open to all CCAC students, staff and alumni.

Representatives from AAA East Central Division, Pennsylvania State Police and PennDOT will conduct the interactive workshop. Attendees will be invited to participate in hands-on distracted driving simulations using high-tech simulators that demonstrate how drivers’ reactions are impaired while texting, potentially putting themselves, their passengers and others on the road in danger.

The workshop is sponsored by the CCAC North Campus NCHERM (National Council of Higher Education Risk Management) Education Team and the Supportive Services Club. The campus is located at 8701 Perry Highway in McCandless.
