• Stationary Engineer License Renewal

    The Center for Professional Development offers a robust selection of continuing education courses required for your yearly Stationary Engineer license renewal. All courses are eight hours, utilizing curriculum preapproved by the City of Pittsburgh. Upon completion, all Stationary Engineers and Boiler Firemen will be issued a certificate with 0.80 Continuing Education Units. A record of your attendance will be reported to the City of Pittsburgh.  Please be sure to bring a copy of your current Stationary Engineer license number with you on the day of class.

    This course details systematic troubleshooting and diagnostics of airflow problems, refrigerant cycle malfunctions, suction and liquid line restrictions, oil clogged evaporator, undercharge, overcharge, compressor inefficiencies, dirty condenser, air in the system, restricted metering device, and low and high condenser entering air temperatures.
