The CCAC Educational
Foundation is the fundraising and benefactor arm of the college. It seeks to
create vital connections between the college and the wider community
to ensure the ongoing viability of the college.
Military and Veterans Services provides assistance to
Veterans, service members, and their dependents (spouses and
children) who are eligible for Veterans educational benefits.
We can provide you with information, help you apply for
benefits, connect you with local and national resources, and serve
as a liaison between you and the Buffalo, NY VA Regional Processing
Determining your VA Educational Chapter
Veterans who need to enroll with the MVS facilitator for payment
of the Montgomery GI Bill Educational Assistance Benefits (MGIB)
will need to know their chapter.
Chapter 30: This program is for Active Duty
Military. (Basic training and annual training are not
classified as active duty.)
Chapter 31 (Vocational Rehabilitation/Voc
Rehab): This program is for disabled veterans. Veterans
need at least 10% Veterans Affairs disability or more to
apply. The Department of Veterans Affairs must approve
entrance into this program.
Chapter 33 (Post 9/11 GI Bill): This program
is for Active Duty veterans, or Reserve and National Guard
members who have been active for more than 90 days since
Transferred Chapter 33 (Post 9/11 GI Bill):
This program is for Active Duty veterans eligible for Chapter
33 who transfer their benefits to dependents. Transfers can only
occur during active duty. (If this is your benefit, be clear to the
MVS facilitator that it is a transferred benefit.)
Chapter 35 (Dependents Educational
Assistance/DEA): This program is for dependents of
100% service-connected disabled Veterans or dependents of Veterans
who died in service or of a service-connected disability.
Chapter 1606 (Montgomery GI Bill - Selected Reserve
& National Guard): This program is for Reservist or
National Guard Members.
Educational Assistance Program (EAP): This
program provides tuition assistance for students who enter into a
service commitment with the Pennsylvania National
Guard. (All questions about this program should be
directed to the service member's education officer. EAP is
processed by Financial Aid.)
Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA/TA): This
program provides financial assistance to part-time Army Reserve and
or National Guard soldiers. (All questions about this program
should be directed to the service member's education officer. TA is
processed by the Bursar department.)
