The Community College of Allegheny County provides a supportive and transformative learning environment that prepares graduates to meet critical needs in the region’s workforce.
At CCAC, we believe that life outside the classroom is an important part of your college experience. Each CCAC campus has a variety of activities to enhance your lifestyle – including athletics, cultural events and personal development seminars.
The CCAC Educational
Foundation is the fundraising and benefactor arm of the college. It seeks to
create vital connections between the college and the wider community
to ensure the ongoing viability of the college.
Federal Student Aid is also something to consider in conjunction
with your GI BillTM. This can be done by completing a Free Application
for Student Aid (FAFSA). Many veteran students think that this
is not necessary because they possess GI BillTM benefits, but there
are grants and scholarships available, which do not need to be
paid back and do not go against the VA Education Benefits. Grants are need-based awards determined by income
and cost of living.
The following list only represents some of the more
commonly received scholarships by veteran students; and is by no
means all inclusive. For specific information on the scholarships you should contact
the agency responsible for administering the scholarship.
Make sure you fill out your FAFSA each year after taxes. Make sure you visit CCAC's Military and Veterans Services Center
each semester in order to receive your benefits
